Danielle is a licensed social worker and earned a Master in Social Work degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She engages with her clients authentically, drawing on her personal strengths of empathy and curiosity to actively listen to them. She believes a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment encourages clients to navigate difficult challenges, explore and discover personal strengths, identify new coping strategies, and achieve personal goals.
Danielle has clinical experience in providing in person and telehealth Trauma-Focused therapy to survivors of sexual violence from diverse populations of adolescents and adults. Her commitment to helping those who have experienced trauma extends to her clinical experience with individuals who were terminally ill, bereaved and struggling with anticipatory grief and/or caregiver stress. She has co-facilitated and facilitated support groups for survivors of sexual violence and bereaved adults and children.
Danielle has also advocated for children through her mentoring of high school and middle school students in an anti-bullying and substance use program. She co-created a high school girls program, S.H.E. (Self-Honor Every Day), which explores body image, empowerment, and coping strategies.
The philosophy that the client has the ability to heal, build resiliency and empower themselves guides Danielle’s practice. She believes a client-centered collaboration enhances self-discovery, increases motivation, and promotes change that will lead to a well-balanced life in mind, body, and spirit.
