Dr. Albaliz Tello is a multilingual and bicultural clinical social worker with 10+ years’ experience in supporting individuals from a diverse background. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in New Jersey and has experience working with the developmentally disabled, children and families, and in mental health.
Dr. Tello has been a school social worker on the Child Study Team in a middle school. She formerly served as the Director of Career Development and an adjunct professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. She has worked both in-patient and outpatient mental health settings, and has experience working with children families via an in-home setting. Dr. Tello obtained her Bachelor of Arts from New York University and earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. She also possesses a doctorate in education (Ed.D) from Fordham University and expertise in addressing academic stressors, college preparation, and career/professional development. Dr. Tello has conducted research on social media in higher education.
She utilizes mindfulness, art, play, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapeutic interventions to provide individual and family therapy.
Dr. Tello specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults.
