Kaylan is a licensed social worker (LSW) and psychotherapist with experience working in a broad range of client populations. Kaylan earned her MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work, where she earned a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children. She also received a dual Bachelor’s in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies.She is also a certified Nurtured Parent Facilitator.

Kaylan has dedicated both her academic and professional career to working with survivors of violence, and has a deep understanding of how trauma can impact mental, physical and spiritual wellness.

Kaylan has worked as an advocate for survivors of interpersonal violence, and understands that each survivor deserves to have a person-centered approach to their healing. Kaylan provides a warm, compassionate and empathetic environment where her clients can safely explore their needs and their feelings.

Kaylan has over 3+ years providing trauma-informed therapy with youth as young as 3 years old to adults. In addition, she is experienced in working with youth, families and individuals who are dealing with challenges due to trauma, anxiety, depression and interpersonal conflict.

In her work, Kaylan utilizes a variety of modalities including play therapy, art therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy.
