Denise Munoz LSW is a licensed social worker, integrative clinician, and wellness consultant who is deeply committed to supporting mental and emotional well-being through a holistic and trauma-informed approach. She brings together mindfulness, wellness, and evidence-based mental health practices to guide individuals, families, and organizations toward personal growth and resilience. Her work emphasizes the integration of mindfulness-based therapies, yoga, and holistic healing practices to create transformative solutions that promote healing and growth at every level.
Collaborating with schools and organizations, Denise designs innovative wellness programs that address mental, emotional, and physical health. She has delivered impactful wellness programs and professional development initiatives that foster lasting change. Throughout her career, Denise Munoz LSW has gained extensive experience across diverse professional settings. She has served as a school social worker and school director within outpatient community clinics, LGBTQ+IA homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and in-home services for children and families.
Denise is a Part-Time Adjunct Professor at Hunter College, teaching a course on Spirituality & Healing. This role allows her to bring mindfulness and integrative wellness practices into academic settings, further expanding her impact on the next generation of mental health professionals.
Denise Munoz, LSW, learned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her dedication to mental health advocacy led her to pursue and complete a Master of Social Work at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. She is licensed in New York and New Jersey and holds certifications in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and Reiki. With her extensive expertise, empathy, and commitment to clients. Denise has established herself as a leader in creating meaningful change for individuals and communities, empowering them with tools for healing and wellness.
